In RHDL a component’s kernel is called every clock with the inputs input and the children’s current outputs q, and returns this component’s outputs plus the children’s next inputs d. Here d is the input mapped field by field (the request packed by certificate_request) and the output is q.signer as is. Timing: combinational; all latency is the core’s.
