Expand description

Resettable control state.

Everything here returns to zero on reset. That kills all in-flight work: the ring forgets every key, so their remaining ops become idle. Keys cut off this way are never used. Reset ends the run; the host starts any new run with a fresh batch range, so no key number repeats.

Fields§

§residue: b7

Residue of the current cycle.

7 bits, counts 0..=67 and wraps.

§period: Ctx

Low bits of the current period.

Increments when the residue wraps. Only the low CTX_BITS bits are kept, which is exactly the context index of the key whose chains run in this period.

§ring: [KeyEntry; 16]

Key contexts.

One KeyEntry per context, indexed by key number mod CONTEXTS.

§next_slot: b9

Next cache slot to hand out.

Wraps after 511; the space input stops admission before a slot still in use would be handed out again.

§next_j: KeyIndex

Next j within the slice’s share of a batch.

§next_batch: b32

Batch currently being filled, relative.

§started: b32

Real keys started.

§decoded: Decoded

Op decoded last cycle.

§window_pending: bool

A window load was addressed last cycle (load the data now).

§window_parity: bool

Parity of the pending window block.

§latch_pending: bool

Latch the next key’s pk_nonce from the RAM output now.

§result_valid: bool

Result register holds a valid result.

§pack_ctx: Ctx

Commitment packer context for the key whose ends are streaming.

§pack_word: b5

Next commitment word index.

5 bits, 0..20, reset to 0 after the packer’s last word of a key.
