PreparedBatch

Struct PreparedBatch

Source
pub struct PreparedBatch { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Prepare and certify a reference batch; repeated namespace allocation is unsafe.

One batch = 128 one-time keys, their Merkle tree and one Ed25519 certificate. It holds no master seed. Use it through crate::lease, which makes sure each (epoch, batch_id) is used once.

Implementations§

Source§

impl PreparedBatch

Source

pub fn new( master_seed: [u8; 32], epoch: u64, batch_id: u64, signer: &SigningKey, ) -> Self

Software bootstrap/oracle. Persist a fresh (epoch, batch_id) first.

Derives 128 seeds, prepares 128 keys, builds the tree and signs the commitment with signer. The master seed is zeroized before return.

Source

pub const fn certificate(&self) -> &BatchCertificate

Certificate to pre-verify at expected recipients before online traffic.

Source

pub fn take_key_for_device(&mut self, index: usize) -> Option<PreparedKey>

Burn ownership before returning a key to a hardware loader.

The slot becomes None, so this batch can never sign with that key again, even if the device later fails.

Source

pub fn attach_certificate( &self, index: usize, wots: WotsSignature, ) -> Option<DsigSignature>

Finish a hardware-produced WOTS signature without recreating a secret key.

The full signature must still be independently verified before use.

Returns None if index is out of range or wots is not the key at that leaf.

Source

pub fn sign(&mut self, index: usize, message: &[u8]) -> Option<DsigSignature>

Consume exactly one unused key; a repeated index returns None.
